up-to-date

Today I was able to get some things done I've been meaning to do for a while. This first one is a project I found here. They were pretty simple and fun to make, plus they're so dang cute!



I bought this pendant at an estate sale a few weeks ago and finally got around to making a cord for it. I made an actual clasp, too, using some cheap jewelry making supplies from Hobby Lobby. I think my new obsession will be looking for things of this nature at garage sales and turning them into something wearable.



Lastly, I finally got something up on my walls. I found this amazing poster at Hobby Lobby for half off. It is so me that I couldn't say no! It was pretty much made for me.

I definitely owe an explanation for my lack of updates. I very recently moved into the downstairs apartment of some friend's house in Bradley. It is weird being back in Kankakee county, and I hope some good comes from it. I am gonna keep this brief, but here are some photos of where I am living.

If you keep going through the doorway on the right, you enter the kitchen (view from backdoor).

If you make a hard left from the front door, you reach the living room with the lovely grandma couch.

A few things have changed since I took these photos but I really did not feel like taking new ones. Maybe later sometime. That's all for now =D

bird finds 2

Hooray second day of birds! Normally I wouldn't buy a decorative plate, but the rummage sale (different from the one I got the box from yesterday) had a $5 bag deal so I figured grabbing it couldn't hurt. Church rummage sales are the best.
